KDL Language and Literacy Consulting Inc. respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, which services help us handle it, and who to contact with questions. We handle personal information in line with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect.

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to share: your organization, phone number, the services you’re interested in, how many people would take part, your timeline, and your message.

If you book a call, you choose a time in the Calendly booking calendar on our contact page, and Calendly collects the details you enter there. We also record whether a time was booked, along with Calendly’s reference for that booking, so we can match it to your enquiry.

If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in your message.

How we use it.

We use your information to reply to you, to arrange and prepare for a call, to confirm that we received your enquiry, and to provide the services you ask about. We keep a record of these conversations for our business records. We don’t use your information for anything else without asking you first.

What we don’t do.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for marketing.

Services that help us, and where they are.

We use a small number of trusted service providers, and they handle your information only to provide their service to us. Some are located outside Canada, so your information may be stored or processed in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under the laws of that country.

Google Cloud (Firebase) hosts this website and stores the enquiries you send through our contact form. Enquiries are stored in Canada.

Resend sends the email notifications about your enquiry, to us and to you. Located in the United States.

Calendly runs the booking calendar on our contact page. Located in the United States.

Google Workspace provides our business email, including the messages you send us and our notifications about your enquiry. Google may store email in the United States and other countries.

Cookies and analytics.

Our website doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don’t track your visits. The Calendly booking calendar may set its own cookies when you use it, as described in Calendly’s privacy policy.

When you visit, our hosting provider and Google Fonts (which supplies the fonts on these pages) receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, because they need it to deliver the pages to you.

How long we keep it.

We keep enquiries and related emails only as long as we need them to respond to you, to work with you, and for our business and legal records. After that, we delete them.

How we protect it.

Information you send through our website is encrypted in transit, and enquiries are stored in a secured database that only KDL can access.

Your choices.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask how our service providers outside Canada handle your information. Contact our privacy contact below.
