I feel more confident when facing high-stakes meetings, I have more tools to handle unexpected situations, and preparing for them is becoming easier for me.
In-office & Professional Teams
We coach your professionals to communicate with confidence.
Skilled professionals with strong English can still struggle in high-stakes moments, or be misread when it counts in a Canadian workplace. Coaching fine-tunes what’s already there, so your team can do their best work.
Fluent in the work, quiet in the meeting.
Your professionals have the experience, and they know they can do the job. But in a Canadian workplace, that experience doesn’t always come through as clearly: ideas get lost in fast-paced, high-stakes meetings, cultural cues get misread, and working relationships take longer to build than expected. Most newcomer professionals never get feedback on their English communication skills. We have the expertise to give them that feedback, and help them build from there.
HR often reaches out first, sometimes because a team member has mentioned feeling stuck in meetings or having difficulty building relationships at work.

Inside Calibrate
A framework for pinpointing what to work on.
Built on a well-established framework of communicative competence, we pinpoint priority areas and design the training from there.
Linguistic Elements
Pronunciation, grammar, and word choice, so someone is heard the way they intend to be.
Pragmatic Skills
Understanding what’s really meant, not just what’s said, and knowing how to respond appropriately in a Canadian workplace: when to be more formal, how directly to disagree, how much small talk is expected before getting to business.
Discourse Competence
Organizing ideas clearly, so a point comes across the first time, not the third.
Strategic Communication
Practical strategies for handling a communication breakdown in the moment, and adjusting based on what works.
It starts with your context, and stays there.
Every engagement follows three steps.
We start with a consultation.
Every engagement begins with a management consultation to understand your organizational priorities. Cohort participants each have an individual intake call. For Coaching participants, the first session is a deep dive into individual context and needs.
We build the plan.
Cohort sessions are built around modules selected from a menu of high-frequency communication trouble spots. Coaching sessions draw on the communicative competence framework, built around the participant’s own upcoming situations.
We calibrate as we go.
Cohort sessions include active practice every week: scenarios, group role-play, and live feedback. Coaching sessions use tools like the participant’s own meeting recordings and response-time drills. Both formats work on idioms and professional expressions throughout, to build fluency for everyday exchanges. We check in with participants all along, and with management at the half-way point, so we can adjust where needed.
Running a crew instead?
For teams on the floor or in the field, we build English training from your safety procedures, job terms, and communication priorities.
